A. Traditional Calligraphy Experience (60 mins)
Price: ¥12,000 (tax excluded)
Start by grinding ink, then choose a single kanji character you love, and complete a final version on decorative paper or a fan – which you get to take home!
What’s included:
Grinding ink by hand Brush handling & basic stroke practice
Practice writing your chosen kanji on regular paper, with sample and English meaning
Final version written on decorative paper or a fan
Take your finished work home as a keepsake!
B. Artistic Japanese Calligraphy Experience (90 mins)
Price: ¥15,000 (tax excluded)
Try both traditional and expressive calligraphy in this creative plan. After learning the basics, create your own artistic interpretation of the character for “wind” using Japanese ink.
Ink is pre-prepared (bokuju).Theme: “Wind”

Basic calligraphy lesson (brush technique, stroke practice)
Planning your artistic composition
Creating a unique expression of “wind” in your own style
C. Giant Calligraphy Challenge (90 mins)
Price: From ¥200,000 (tax excluded)
Write a large kanji character on a massive 3×6 shaku sheet (approx. 90×180 cm) using a giant brush – a powerful and thrilling experience!
What’s included:
Choose your favorite kanji
Practice strokes and character on standard paper
Final performance with a large brush on giant paper
Note: Location may vary depending on season and weather. The total time may be around 120 minutes including transport.

where you compare your calligraphy before and after enjoying a glass of sake.

It’s not an official program,
but if the timing is right, you might get to experience it!
This activity is offered irregularly. Please ask our staff for availability.

Cancellations are free up to 3 days before your scheduled experience.
After that, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
For example, if your booking is on the 10th, cancellations made after 11:59 PM on the 7th will incur a full charge.
